Privacy on device

Recordings, notes, and memory stay on your computer, encrypted. Cards, keys, and passwords are blacked out. Agents only see what you ask them to look up.

LUCI is built so the default is local. You should be able to unplug the network and keep working.

What stays here

  • Screen captures
  • Meeting recordings
  • What was said
  • The searchable memory

All of it is saved encrypted on this computer, locked to your Mac or Windows login.

Cards, keys, and passwords are blacked out before anything is saved.

What may go to the network

Only if you choose, or for the app itself:

  • Updates, from the download page or the Microsoft Store
  • Optional cloud features, only when you opt in
  • Anonymous product analytics, on by default, no recordings or notes. Turn them off in Local Settings → Privacy, or during onboarding.

The list of domains is on the Security page. You can verify the local claim by turning Wi-Fi off. Capture and search still work.

Agents and privacy

The official skills let Claude, Cursor, Codex, and other agents ask your memory. The memory itself stays on this machine. What the agent actually pulls becomes part of that conversation. If the agent runs in someone else's cloud, that conversation goes there.

You control which agents you connect and what you ask them to look up. Once an agent has pulled something, we do not claim it "never leaves."

Training

Your recordings and memory are not used to train our models. We cannot train on what we never receive.

If you want it gone

Delete data from inside LUCI, or remove the local data folder after quitting the app. Details and the disclosure address (security@memories.ai) are on Security.
