Connect Cline

Install the official LUCI skills so Cline can search your screen and meetings from this computer. Install from the Luci-skills repo, or add LUCI over MCP.

Cline reads your files and runs your commands, one approval at a time. It cannot see the browser tab where the request failed, or the call where the plan changed. The official LUCI skills let Cline search both instead of waiting for you to paste them in.

The skills live in the official repo: Memories-ai-labs/Luci-skills.

Install the skills

LUCI's in-app installer writes into Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex. For Cline, install from the repo.

bash
npx skills add Memories-ai-labs/Luci-skills -g -a cline

That writes into ~/.agents/skills/, which Cline reads next to its own ~/.cline/skills/, so the skills work in every project. Drop -g to install into this project's .agents/skills/ instead.

Or ask Cline:

Install this agent skill for me: https://github.com/Memories-ai-labs/Luci-skills

That puts luci and distill on the agent. Cline finds new skills without a restart. To check, click the scale icon at the bottom of the Cline panel, left of the model picker, open the Skills tab, and make sure both are switched on.

The luci skill works by running a small luci command. Unless you have turned on auto-approve for commands, Cline asks first, so you see each lookup before anything comes back.

Try asking

  • "Search my screen memory for the TypeError I saw in the console"
  • "What was on my screen when the deploy failed?"
  • "Find the part of today's call where we picked the queue"
  • "distill my life"

To call a skill by name, type / in the chat and pick it from the list.

Optional: connect over MCP

If you would rather give Cline the tools without the skills, copy the URL and token from LUCI's Screen Memory panel. In Cline, click the MCP Servers icon in the top toolbar, open the Configure tab, and click Configure MCP Servers. Add LUCI under mcpServers:

json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "luci": {
      "type": "streamableHttp",
      "url": "<url>",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <token>" },
      "disabled": false
    }
  }
}

Keep the type line. Without it, Cline uses the older SSE transport, and LUCI does not speak it. The Remote Servers tab has no field for headers, so the token has to go in the JSON.

In the Cline CLI, one command does the same:

bash
cline mcp add luci <url> --transport http --header "Authorization: Bearer <token>" --yes

More on the protocol path: Connect over MCP. Skills are the recommended path. MCP is the fallback.

If Cline still cannot see your memory, check Common issues. More on Cline: Cline integration. Privacy note: Agent Bridge.
