Connect Amp

Install the official LUCI skills so Amp can search your screen and meetings mid-task. Install from the Luci-skills repo, or add LUCI over MCP.

Amp will run for an hour on one task. An hour in, the detail it needs is often something you read this morning or heard on a call, and nobody wrote it down. The official LUCI skills let Amp look it up instead of stopping to ask you.

The skills live in the official repo: Memories-ai-labs/Luci-skills.

Install the skills

LUCI's in-app installer does not list Amp, so install from the repo.

bash
npx skills add Memories-ai-labs/Luci-skills -g -a amp

That writes into ~/.config/agents/skills/, the first folder Amp checks, so the skills work in every project. Drop -g to install into this project's .agents/skills/ instead.

Or ask Amp in a thread:

Install this agent skill for me: https://github.com/Memories-ai-labs/Luci-skills

That puts luci and distill on the agent.

Already installed the skills into Claude Code from LUCI's Settings → Agent access? Amp also reads ~/.claude/skills/, so it may have them already. Run amp skills list to check.

A thread that was open before the install does not pick up the new skills. Ask Amp to reload its skills, or start a new thread.

Try asking

  • "Search my screen memory for the config I changed last week"
  • "What was I doing before this task started?"
  • "Find the part of the call where we scoped this work"
  • "distill my life"

Optional: connect over MCP

If you would rather give Amp the tools without the skills, add LUCI under amp.mcpServers in ~/.config/amp/settings.json (on Windows, %USERPROFILE%\.config\amp\settings.json). Copy the URL and token from Settings → Agent access → Manual MCP setup in LUCI:

json
{
  "amp.mcpServers": {
    "luci": {
      "url": "<url>",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <token>" }
    }
  }
}

If the file already has settings, add the amp.mcpServers key next to them. You can put the same block in a project's .amp/settings.json, but Amp will not run a workspace server until you approve it with amp mcp approve luci.

The same snippet is on the Amp integration page. More on the protocol path: Connect over MCP.

Skills are the recommended path. MCP is the fallback.

If Amp still cannot see your memory, check Common issues. Privacy note: Agent Bridge.
