Connect OpenCode

Install the official LUCI skills into OpenCode with one click so it can search your screen and meetings. Or install from the repo, or connect over MCP.

OpenCode reads the repo in front of it. It does not see the stack trace in the browser, the doc you skimmed before lunch, or the call where the team picked the schema. The official LUCI skills let it search all of that, and teach it how to distill your day.

The skills live in the official repo: Memories-ai-labs/Luci-skills.

Install the skills

From LUCI

  1. Turn on screen memory and leave LUCI running.
  2. Open Settings → Agent access.
  3. Under Agent skills, click Install next to OpenCode.

LUCI writes luci, distill, and the other official skills into ~/.config/opencode/skills/, OpenCode's global skills folder. If the row says Not detected, install OpenCode first, then come back.

OpenCode also reads ~/.claude/skills/. If LUCI or npx skills already put the skills there for Claude Code, OpenCode has them and you can skip this step. The Claude Code plugin installs somewhere else, so it does not count.

From GitHub

bash
npx skills add Memories-ai-labs/Luci-skills -a opencode -g

-g installs into ~/.config/opencode/skills/ for every project. Leave it off to install into the current project's .agents/skills/ instead, which OpenCode also reads.

You can also paste this into OpenCode:

Try asking

  • "Search my screen memory for the error I saw in the terminal this morning"
  • "What was I working on between 2pm and 4pm yesterday?"
  • "Find where we talked about the schema change on today's call"
  • "distill my life"

Optional: connect over MCP

If you would rather give OpenCode the tools without the skills, LUCI has a ready-made OpenCode snippet. Open Settings → Agent access → Manual MCP setup, pick OpenCode, and copy it. It goes in ~/.config/opencode/opencode.json, or in opencode.json at the root of one project:

json
{
  "$schema": "https://opencode.ai/config.json",
  "mcp": {
    "luci": {
      "type": "remote",
      "url": "<url>",
      "enabled": true,
      "oauth": false,
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <token>" }
    }
  }
}

LUCI fills in the URL and token for you. The copy button wraps the snippet in a short prompt, so you can paste it straight into OpenCode and let it edit the file. If the file already has an mcp block, add luci inside it.

Restart OpenCode, then run opencode mcp list and check that luci shows as connected. More on the OpenCode integration page.

Skills are the recommended path. MCP is the fallback.

If OpenCode still cannot see your memory, check Common issues. Privacy note: Agent Bridge.
